With the Bad Guys being caught yet again, and the shocking revelation that Professor Marmalade was secretly a prolific thief as well, the public was more than fed-up with crime. While his home was destroyed, the police did search through Marmalade's other properties, and came across an odd invention of his that seemed to offer a possible solution to said crime problem. Governor Foxington tried to push against it at first on the grounds of it being immoral, but at the risk of being recalled and blacklisted for any future terms she reluctantly fell silent. The revolutionary new shrinking program was put into effect immediately, to the relieved cheering of the citizens. Star reporter Tiffany Fluffit not only got the chance to do an exclusive on the new system, she also registered as a full-time volunteer to oversee one of the shrunken prisoners. Before her live run-through on what such a position was like, most of the viewing public had assumed it would be a grueling and skill-intensive task, and had no intention of signing up. The playful reporter explained though that the new program required none of the strict training that watching prisoner's would normally entail, since they were far too small to pose any threat of escaping or harming anyone. Despite being called a rehabilitation program, you also didn't have to give any lessons to the little criminals, since the governments stance was that the humiliation of the sentence would serve as more than enough a deterrent for future wrongdoing. Tiffany smirked as she watched her ratings soar, betting that their would be a flood of people eagerly trying to snatch up the remaining shrinkees while they lasted. She was glad she had gotten ahead of the curve and secured one, the squirming feeling of it against her massive foot was too amazing to pass up. She was already harboring thoughts of reporting nasty attitude and behavior when the government administration checked up on her, with her pet's track record she expected she could get sell them on a life sentence easily enough...
