The Clone Wars was finally reaching it's end, as peace talks with the Separatists were finally progressing. The discovery and defeat of Darth Sidious, who had managed to worm his way to the top of the Republic government as Chancellor Palpatine, played a large part in paving the way for peace. Despite the brightening future ahead though, Ahsoka Tano still found it hard to enjoy herself. It had been almost a year since her beloved master had disappeared, vanishing during the course of an infiltration mission into a Separatist research facility, and eventually presumed dead after no trace of him could be found after months of investigation. Even the Jedi council had given up on him, as their attempts to search for him through the force found nothing. Ahsoka refused to believe any of them though, since however weak she still felt a connection to her absent master through the force. It was the smallest thread imaginable, which led her to think he must be stuck somewhere far, far away, but she knew he still had to be alive. The connection hadn't shifted wherever in the galaxy she traveled to, which backed up her theory. When the war finally did come to an end she planned on journeying out past the outer rim in search of Anakin, but until then her duty to the order felt monotonous. A serious part of her considered quitting the order to get a head start on her search, but she knew if she ever did find Anakin he would be upset at her sacrificing so much for him. It would only be a few more months of busywork, and she held onto that thought as she struggled to fall asleep.
Unbeknownst to the young Jedi Knight, her master was far closer than she thought. One of the weapons the Separatist lab had been developing was a shrinking serum, which was broken and spilled onto him during the course of a battle. The effects kicked in when none of his allies was looking his way, leaving none aware that the bewildered general had been reduced to microscopic size and sent soaring through the air. Tiny Anakin eventually drifted against his own Padawan's gigantic leather boot, which he entered through a tiny hole in the material. For the first few months of his new life he was trapped in the fetid fibers of Ahsoka's insole, which seemed like a genuine swamp to our micro hero. Barely any scrap of solid ground could be found, with the grimy fabric almost constantly flooded with oceans of Togruta foot sweat that dripped from the expansive orange sole that served as the sky. Scraps of filth and dead skin were the only food he could survive off of in this hellish landscape, and finding them was a nightmare. If he was lucky there would be some embedded in the towering strands of fabric that looked like massive trees, but he often had to grimace and dive to the bottom of the putrid lakes of sweat to find his next meal. The goal that pushed him onwards throughout those brutal months was somehow reaching the foot of his titanic apprentice, even knowing that getting her attention was likely impossible. Unfortunately the only way to reach said foot was by climbing one of the fabric strands of the insole, but they were far too tall and slick with moisture to reach the top of. His salvation came when Ahsoka had a brief shore leave on Coruscant, and after catching a whiff of her reeking combat boots gave them a spray down with some deodorizer before leaving them beneath her bed , enjoying her time off-duty in a pair of more comfortable footwear. While the spray itself a savage storm for poor Anakin, the chemicals and the time unworn finally allowed the insole to dry enough for him to make his daring climb. When Ahsoka finally slipped back into her haggard boots, Anakin finally made the transition to the massive desert that was the surface of her foot. His new environment proved to be a massive improvement, to his profound relief. While his diet unfortunately saw no change, the means of obtaining it were far simpler. The atmosphere was still rife with the musk of Ahsoka's foot, stale sweat and cheesy odor, it was far less nauseating in the open air. Little changed when she was still wearing her boots, but he took what he could get. As more months ticked by though he realized how foolish his plans to reach farther up the body of this giantess was, and accepted his fate of spending the rest of his days on Ahsoka's sole. He did make an attempt of speaking to her through the force, but saw no improvement from his attempts while on the insole. As hope for a return to his old life faded however, an almost fanatical reverence for the goddess he called home took it's place. It started as appreciation for saving him from the hellish swamp of her boot, but the more he thought about how the byproducts of the lowest point of her body was sustaining him completely, the more her started to worship the girl he once saw fit to mentor. He was quickly approaching the point where if Ahsoka found him and offered to return his size, he may very well beg to stay beneath her divine tread instead. There was still some time before the last slivers of his sanity faded though, but if Ahsoka wanted her master back she would have to track him down soon...
