Awilix's Divine Mercy

Even dirtied and covered in vines the artistic quality of it impressed you, as did the twinkling rubies embedded in it. Your greedy hands reached for the alluring gems, only for them to suddenly exude a blinding red light that knocked you unconscious. You awoke at dusk to find yourself shrunken to the size of an ant, and the relic mysteriously gone. Over the next few hours you frantically struggled to survive in your now massive environment, cowering beneath leaves and small rocks, shaking in fear anytime the smallest animal came into your vision. Soon after the moon rose however a beautiful woman suddenly appeared in front of you, towering taller than a temple to your tiny eyes. You excitedly ran out from your cover and desperately shouted and waved for her attention, hoping to be rescued. Her eyes indeed locked onto you, but you quickly shuddered at the look of disgust that was glued to her face. Awilix, goddess of the moon, had descended onto the moonlit jungle only to sense a strange magical signature. She had expected to find some kind of interloping sorcerer or mythical beast, the odd occurrence piquing her curiosity on which it would be. Instead she found the most pathetic mortal she had ever crossed eyes on, inflicted with some kind of curse that had greatly affected their height. There was no mercy within the goddesses heart however, only anger and disgust at the mere insect which had wasted her time. She almost just stormed off angrily but decided leaving this worthless thing crawling around the mighty jungle would be an affront to her home, and slowly raised her foot...
You should thank me for granting you death you pathetic bug, you would never have lasted in the harsh jungle anyway. Instead of becoming some lizards lunch, you at least get to meet your end staining the beautiful sole of a goddess...
