Game Devlog

Hi!

I'm continuing to develop the game, and today is the day of the new devlog post.

For those who are reading me for the first time, and haven't read my other posts yet, I want to say that I do game development in the late evenings and nights, after my main jobs and household chores. I'm a single mother with two kids, so it's easy to understand that, unfortunately, I don't have as much time for game development as I'd like. Despite the fact that some of my friends help me as much as they can (thank them very much for that), I still have to do most of the work myself. But I try to do my best to create quality content.

The storyline of the game stops at the events after the mysterious conversation between Scarlet and Jane. After this conversation, Jane, suddenly, became kind and cooperative...

No matter what, one of the main character's goals is achieved: Jane is no longer his enemy. This is Scarlet's merit, and for this favor Scarlet asked the protagonist to make a journey with her to another town... But, before that, the protagonist needs to go somewhere else...

The next part of the script is currently in development, and I will not say anything about it yet to keep things interesting.

I will, however, tell what was done this week.

And this week one of the secondary scenes was added. In the future, there will be many more such scenes, and the outcome of such scenes may lead to completely unexpected events...

And the secondary scene was added for this girl:

The images for this scene, for now, have been replaced by stubs, as I, unfortunately, can't create images as fast as I can write text. Any missing images will be created later.

One of the images for this cutscene was created last week. The second image for this cutscene was created this week.

This image was already added to the private gallery yesterday, and today it was added to the working build.

As a recent tradition, I will write a little about my second game Final Exam. I will create a separate post for this game when the game is fully finished and I have purchased a subscription to the Construct 3 engine to create a working build. As a reminder, Final Exam is created on Construct 3, the free version of which does not allow creating independent builds.

At the moment, I have the third level (out of five) completely finished. The only thing missing in the level is images for the cutscenes. I will create images in the final stage of development, when all levels are finished.
