Announcement: Painting Contest

As discussed in our discord server, we wanted to let you know that we will be taking a break from releasing new models for the month of May. During this gap month, we will be focusing on finishing our backlog of models and working on future models for the month of June. This break will help us adjust our release schedule so that we can release all of the month's models at the start of the month.
We also wanted to let you know that there will be some changes to the rewards you receive for supporting us. Instead of receiving the current month's and the previous month's models, you will only receive the current month's models. This change will come into effect with our June release.
Now For the Painting Contest.
This is your chance to showcase your artistic talent and creativity on a global platform. We are excited to announce that for the next months, we will be having a Painting Contest. This will be starting today until mid-June. The only thing you need to participate is:
- become a Patron for the months of May - June 2023
- and join our Discord server to submit your Work in Progress and Final Entry.
Here are the guidelines for the Painting Contest:
1. Each participant can only enter one masterpiece in this event, so make sure it's your best work yet!
2. You can choose any model to paint from Chuya Factory Releases.
3. All painted models should only be done by one participant. Collaborations are not allowed, as we want to see your individual skills shine.
4. Your work must start from May 1, 2023, and any piece started before that will not be considered an entry.
5. We will be making a separate channel in our Discord server dedicated to your Work in Progress (WIP) photos. We encourage you to share your progress with the community and get feedback along the way. This also allows us to ensure that all entries are freshly created for the contest. If we do not find any previous posts of your progress in the WIP channel, we will not include your entry in the first round of eliminations.
The Deadline for Entry Submissions is June 15, 2023. The first round of elimination will start a few days after the deadline and will be conducted on our Discord server. In this round, we will be getting the top ten most voted (if participants are less than 10, then we will pick the top 5 finalists). The final voting will be conducted on our Patreon page, so make sure to join our community to stay updated.
Now, for the best part - the prizes! While we are still finalizing the details, one thing is for sure, the first-place winner will be able to make 1 direct suggestion of any model that they want to be modeled by Chuya Factory (either Chibi or Full-scale model) for the month of August 2023.

the annoying part is that the previous announcement did NOT mention whether or not the subscription payment would be suspended, and the announcement on discord (that was first asked about on the 9 of APRIL) was posted early am on the 1st may (in my timzone ) too late for people to choose to cancel. also the post only stated that the team did not know what was happening with billing.
2023-05-02 05:01:17 +0000 UTCIf the suspended progress is for creating better-quality models, I am fine with getting charged for May but didn't get new models. It's better than Chuya Factory just rushing out low-quality models to fulfill the rewards for May subs.

So basically we'll be paying for May but not getting any rewards for it? How is this fair exactly? Hell, you only announced this on Discord a few hours ago too from what I can see! You are not giving people the option to decide if they want to support you for a month you're not going to be delivering anything. This is very nasty behavior for a creator.
