2023-10-14 06:18:21 +0000 UTCBe ready to be shocked because Hoshi is an introvert. 🤣 He is THE hype man but is quiet af with new people and situations. Jun is so endearing, you can tell the whole group is just fond of him just by their eyes. Yes, he is talented at a lot of things. THE8 is the glow up story of the group imo. When I got into them in 2016, he was giggly and adorable, fast forward to now he is just as you said, an enigma. I think he internalizes a lot and he has a lot of wise thoughts. Dino is hilarious lol. He just embraces being the maknae, is an amazing all rounder and is just full of energy. The group loves him and I can’t believe how much he has grown in his characterization. I am OT13 BUT I do have a bias. Seungkwan brought me into the group in 2016 when I was watching a variety show that was featuring RM. He did a Psy impression of Gentleman and was just an ace at the variety role and promoting his group and I literally saw him, loved him, and marched my happy ass over to YouTube to look them up. You could tell how much he loved talking about his team, performing AND he made RM laugh lol. Honestly, the dynamic of SVT has always been fascinating to me because many of them also had some sort of hands in their non musical needs as a group. Self producing idols indeed. For example, Seungkwan promoted tf out of them as SVT, he reached out and built contacts within the industry by going on a ridiculous amount of variety shows (I am not kidding, it’s a lot) and roped in new fans on his variety talent alone in the beginning. His group acknowledges this all the time. That is why in Hybe Caterers he was pulled to be next to the MC instead of participating in the dance elimination (though I’m kind of salty because he probably would’ve won that and I would’ve loved to just see him show his knowledge - he is known as the K-pop professor or basically an idol dictionary. I get why that happened though and was satisfied watching him show his love for the other groups lol) Fast forward to today, and you can see how respected SVT are by variety and idol talents but also how comfortable they are in those environments. I’m not saying it was all Seungkwan, but he was a BIG piece of it (Just like Woozi is a big piece of their music). AmazingSaturday has the Aju Nice song as their main catch phrase and has had SVT on their show in some way the most out of all the idol groups and say that SVT is their idol family. I could go on about this, but you have to give Seungkwan hella kudos for taking on such a big responsibility in the beginning. It’s sad a little bit now because carats and SVT can see he has a hard time letting the variety role go and rest a little (I mean he has been basically the energizer bunny for years in regards to variety) but the team has been really encouraging him to relax and let them fill in while he rests. Ugh, I’m just so fond of all of them. But yes, Seungkwan is my bias lol. On another note: I am sad the guide has not been updated yet for the vocal team. There is ALOT that has changed so we may just need to shout it out in the comments. I know that it is being worked hard on just don’t know when it will drop.
