Their fates intertwined through the good times together, but also the tough times, as they have gone their separate ways and suffered greatly as a result. When all is almost lost for these boys, one is given a special chance to go back in time and help his friends fix the mistakes that led them down this path. He’ll do anything to save them, but can he? Or is he too late?"

2023-10-01 11:38:38 +0000 UTCBANGTAN UNIVERSE STARTER GUIDE If you’re new to BTS’s fictional universe, it can be overwhelming. There’s a lot of content to catch up on, and even if you’re familiar with the storyline, it can get confusing. This guide aims to give you a place to start! What is the Bangtan Universe? The Bangtan Universe (abbreviated BU) is a fictional universe created by BigHit that serves as a vehicle for storytelling. Beginning with BTS’s music video “I Need U” (released April 29, 2015), BTS began to portray characters in some of their videos. As the storyline progressed and BTS became more successful, the storyline branched out to other platforms. As you’ll see, there is BU-certified content in music videos, short films, a webtoon, a book, and the HYYH Notes. What are the HYYH Notes? HYYH stands for “hwayangyeonhwa” (화양연화), which was the trilogy of albums released prior to WINGS. Loosely translated, the meaning of HYYH is “the most beautiful moment in life.” It’s this series where the BU got its start. HYYH Notes are bits of narrative text that originally appeared as tweets and small booklets with the release of Love Yourself: HER. After releasing the first note on BigHit’s official Twitter, four booklets were released, one for each version of the HER album. While some information in the four booklets overlapped, the content varied slightly. Therefore, fans needed to read each version’s booklet in order to get all the information. A note was released on Twitter prior to the TEAR and ANSWER albums as well. The Love Yourself: TEAR and Love Yourself: ANSWER albums also contained four new booklets each. After this trilogy, HYYH The Notes Book 1 was released. The content covered some of the notes already released and provided some additional content. With the release of Map of the Soul: Persona, we got four new booklets with new information. MOTS: 7 also contained new booklets. A second book, HYYH The Notes Book 2, was also released, which contains more new information. While the HYYH The Notes Books 1 & 2 were released in English, the small note booklets were not. I have translated the HYYH notes here. Each note contains a date and an entry for the specified character, almost as if we’re reading diaries. To date, we do not have the full story. Why create something like the BU? It’s likely BigHit wanted to focus on a long-term storyline with multiple moving parts. Creating the BU gives the BTS members a chance to explore various stories and experiences while also allowing the members to separate themselves from their characters. For example, the characters that BTS embody in the BU experience traumas such as physical and mental/emotional abuse, abandonment, and suicide attempts; the BU allows BTS to examine some darker experiences of youth and growing up, even if it’s not something they went through personally. The BU also allows BTS and their creative team to provide additional story details that would be impossible with just music videos. The expansion of content into additional short films, narrative text, and a webtoon are examples of this. Transmedia stories, stories that span multiple types of media but all are tied together, are a great way to engage audiences, allowing fans to become an active part of the story.

2023-04-12 11:37:35 +0000 UTCI am loving your reactions Tracy 💜 I am a new patron. As for content, if you are thinking of not going in order for RunBTS, a fairly recent one that I found hilarious is their flying yoga episodes https://youtu.be/XJDPzNzQ3RE (part 1 of 2) You may have already heard about it, but Yeonjun and Taehyun were just on Suga’s Suchwita show! It was both heartwarming and fun. https://youtu.be/FuF6gBiAJkE There are 4 Bon Voyage seasons and 2 In the Soop seasons. Personally, I think it’s fun to watch them in order but my favorites are BV season 4 and In the soop (both seasons). There are behind the scenes for every episode too 😁 Have a great day!

2023-04-12 09:53:18 +0000 UTCthanks for the clarification and yeah that's what I thought too about bighit, it's not like a big company that had a group that flopping and needed to get their music to the top or whatever... anyway, people are dumb and look for any excuse to blame someone for something because of their genuine success. also thanks for the recommendations! i'll have heaps to pick from!

2023-04-11 09:46:27 +0000 UTCHonestly as an army, I've never really had interest in this series (I generally stay away from these types of docu-style vids since they get some things wrong or have vague explanations for things, this series included) but watching it with you and seeing someone choose to try to get to know the boys first is really refreshing and enjoyable! I really enjoy your thoughts and you taking the time to really understand our boys. Ok now in terms of BTS content (there's alot), the obvious one is Run BTS but there's also BTS GAYO that started around the same time when they first started Run BTS too. They do activities related to kpop each week and it's pretty short with only 15 episodes. I also think it's good to check out BTS Rookie Kings as this was their first variety content. American Hustle Life is another show but it has some armys divided since while it has some great moments, it also has some not so great moments or things that really didn't age well... They do have paid online content too that's worth checking out like their own docu-series Burn the Stage, Bring the Soul, and Break the Silence which chronicles them while they're touring.

2023-04-11 07:08:43 +0000 UTCHe was talking generally. At the time bighit didn't have enough money to do sajaegi that's why it's so ridiculous. They even had to go to court. The reason people didn't believe they could have won is because bts accomplishments weren't covered in articles or news. They still aren't. So they were doing well in Korea and they had a stable fanbase it's just that nobody knew since the media ignored them. The red bullet tour was in 2015 so their second year. In terms of variety shows, they have in the soop which is basically just them on vacation, it's really soothing and it's just them being them. Bon voyage is is similar but they travel to other countries and visit different places in those countries. Run bts is their own variety show where they play games but there are over 100 episodes. Some people prefer to start from the beginning but if you'd like to see how they are currently they recently released some special episodes. I think it would be good to watch those first

2023-04-09 13:09:34 +0000 UTCApart from their bts content, Taehyung has done a little acting. The drama called “Hwarang”. I think it’s on our Aussie Netflix. Its a historical drama, I enjoyed watching it. It’s from 2016, only has one season. Park Seo-Joon is also in it, Taes friend on Jinnys Kitchen.
