I was so intrigued by this episode from almost the beginning, since I understood that the main character wouldn't talk at all, it would be a mute episode. I already discovered one mute episode of the Twilight Zone, but I felt this one would be different. I was wondering about why this woman was not talking, why her screams sounded weird, why she was not getting out of her house and even during the first minute, I asked questions about what she cooked. And the reveal at the end answered these questions.

To imagine this episode was out in 1961, it's making that reveal even more interesting in my opinion. You have that woman afraid of intruders coming from another planet and defending herself. You can be like : ok, so this episode is about the aliens' fear, that's all. But the reveal shows you the intruders were in fact us astronauts and places the alien woman as the victim of us, earth people, and the conquest of the universe as a threat for them, just living at peace. Eight years before Neil Armstrong walked for the first time on the moon.
