I said it in the intro : thinking again about the first episode of the new season, I had doubts. It was a nice one, but it felt more like a filler episode, a middle-season episode, but maybe its beginning with that time jump situation justified that they placed him at the first place ? And after this second episode, I confirm my impression : this one should have been the first episode of the season !

Because this episode is so great, with a cool story full of actions, an assassination, a drug making insects stronger, creating the right antidote, finding the hive to destroy it etc. Because this episode is about two main characters, Space Beth and Rick, and it shows that they evolved individually, but also with their relationship. Because we have secondary characters that we love back (Birdperson and Bird Daughter !), references to previous seasons and even meta references. Because in fact we have everything that the fans love in one episode, and it feels like a perfect beginning of a new season, when the other could have been in all other seasons.
