At the time I write this description, I just watched the episode 2 and discovered what Abby did. At the time you read this description, you have watched the final episode of the season, and you know what is gonna happen to her, to Ellie, to that situation. Did Ellie get her revenge ? Do I want her to get her revenge ? Just after IT happened, yes I wanted it. But one second later, I screamed it to Abby : "did you find peace now, do you feel better, did it bring back your father ? no !"
And it's the same for Ellie. I understand that, like Abby, she wants to get her revenge for the death of her father. But I get also that if what Abby did was wrong, what Ellie intends to do is wrong as well. I feel sorry for both, so sorry. And at the same time, the cruelty that Abby had with her way to kill Joel... that was insane and awful to watch. So my pity is gone for her. But it doesn't mean I'm okay with the situation at all.
