Hello !

I knew it, I talked about it during the intro : after what happened at the end of the previous, that scene between Joel and Ellie, for sure we would have trust issues in their relationship and it would go bad. Take a 5 years time jump (that I would have never suspected) and the situation is worse than ever, with two characters who can't even talk to each other. Ellie is clearly into a big teenager crisis (taking way too many risks), while Joel tries to work on himself but can't attack the real deal.

Joel made me so sad during this episode. We can see he changed, he works now to repair things, to help build this community and he works also on himself to become someone better. Even if these therapy sessions are not the healthiest ones, considering that he's taking them with the wife of someone he killed… But he can't talk to Ellie, he shows his love for her like always, by being helpful and useful to her.
