I don't know what to think about this episode because I think that each side prepared a plan for this battle and we don't know who knows what about the other side. And here, for Satoru to face these cursed spirits, and "only them", it seems weird : everyone knows he's the best jujutsu sorcerer so we should have Mahito and Geto in front of him. For me, it means that they decided to split our guys because in fact they don't want to target Satoru. So maybe Yuji ?

Yuji fighting this cursed spirit was a good opportunity to see how much he evolved and how strong he is now. I love that the kid remembers Junpei and wants revenge for him in front of Mahito. And I think that this one wants to target more Yuji, because of Sukuna. Maybe they just followed their big plan, after stealing Sukuna's fingers.
