Just look at my face when I understand that we're surely gonna spend the season or at least half of it, with Satoru and his friends. PURE JOY. I love this idea for so many reasons. Because, I think that you understood it, I love Satoru, so I can not wait to discover more of his background, why he evolved like that etc. Because his relationship with Geto was introduced in the movie and I want to see when it changed, when Geto began to take the wrong path.
Because we're gonna spend time with the adults from season 1 but when they were young, so we're gonna connect with them, discover more about them. Because it's such a good idea to build seasons like that, it's almost like putting a one-shot spin-off for your season 2. Even if it might feel weird when we're gonna come back with Yuji and the others.

I also love the concept that we're departing to the past! It is also interesting how different Geto was back then and how I even slightly find Geto more likeable than Satoru since Geto appears to have virtues and strong morals and is dutiful which Satoru lacks in this episode. This episode expands so much on the story and introduces new characters that all seem to have impact since this seems to be a flashback-part.
