Buer Park is named after Buer, one of the Great Presidents of Hell, from the book On the Tricks of Demons, which is probably most notable for arranging Hell into hierarchies and, in the real world, leading to the abolishment of witchcraft trials.
Buer is one of the kinder Great Demons, a teacher of philosophy, logic, and the healing arts, so it seemed only right that he'd have a rather nice and pleasant park named in his honor.
