We're back with Squid Game ! This episode was to present us the new context of this season, where our old characters are now, but it was in fact mostly to talk about the recruiter. And, SPOILERS, to tell him goodbye. Because he might have been one of the fans favorite characters but he was never in fact a part of the main story, he was the introduction of it. So we learnt more about him here, his background, his psychology, to have him disappear in an "honorable" way, according to him.
We saw that the cop and Gi-Hun didn't give up on finding the truth about the Game, that they both had issues finding evidence. But the second one has a lot of money and recruited guys to search for the recruiter (and the Organization didn't see it, 100 guys, during an entire summer, asking questions ? Totally illogical). They found him and we discovered he's a former red suit who surely was taught/brainwashed to kill people without having any emotion. That much that he ended loving it and embracing the rules of the Game. That much that he's ending dying for these ideas, to prove he's right. Two former players are still playing, even without anyone watching.

Thanks for the explanation (I watched as well a video that netflix made for their ytb channel, which is really cool). I really think they have trouble recruiting people, we had something also about Sunshine Capital which has clients disappearing (clients = people with debts who are supposed to pay them back) and for the recruiter to target here homeless when during season 1 we had none in the game, it made me feel like they go for easier targets now. And it would be logical that at some point, they miss players, almost 500 people each year, at some point, you have trouble to find more.

At the end the red guy could have taken sissors away and won because the other guy had two rocks but chose to not remove either and was disqualified. I don't think they have any trouble recuiting new people, they always targetted people whith big debt. I think the game with the homeless was just for the fun.
