I wanted to see this fight between Satoru because I thought it would be interesting to see what a sorcerer like him, presented as one of the best, could do. So far, we only saw first-year students fighting, so clearly we had to see a big difference. And it was the case ! That cursed spirit never managed to touch him, not even one minute, and it was so easy for Satoru that he took the time to warp, to take Yuji for him, to give him a lesson etc.

Something that I didn't notice and the anime pointed, it's the fact that this cursed spirit can talk that well. So far, the ones we met were not so "elaborated" when this one (and the others we saw at the restaurant meeting) can talk, can create plans, and has a purpose. He had no chance against Satoru and escaped at the end. Which made us see Geto again and understand a little more of his character, and meet Mahito.
