The end of this episode, the last 20 minutes, it's what I want this show to be all along. To offer us scenes which are visually cool, to create intense moments for the characters and to make the viewers excited about them. I didn't expect Lila to die here because they made this entire episode about her being a "chosen one" role, but her death is gonna mean a lot for Tula. She felt guilty for Kasha, now for Lila, and she can blame her sister for both… It can be interesting for the future of her character.
Desmond never lied in this episode but I feel he's not saying the entire truth. His "faith", the fact that he serves "the Imperium", doesn't mean imo that he serves the Emperor here. For me, he does all of what he does for the Imperium, for what he wants the Imperium to become, for a cause, but I also think that he's only an instrument, used by someone or something. His confrontations with Valya were very cool.

Desmond clearly has other intentions than serving the Emperor, for me it's really about serving the Imperium, what he wants the Imperium to become. Lila's death is gonna be a trigger : after Kasha's death, it's the second time Tula does something her sister told her to do and it kills someone.

I think this show needs time to find its mood, because first they needed time to explain things and to present the main plot. Now that it's done, I want that quality, of these 20 last minutes, all along the episode.

The emperor is just a bit slow witted for not understanding the difference between an institution and a person, not to talk of his son for casually spilling the beans about their prisoner. Also, is Lila's death a trigger for a rift between sisters?
