Hello !
For once, I was praying for this episode to end, I was not sure that I could handle one more minute of it without making a break to cry a little on my own. I knew we would need to have that fight between Dabi and Endeavor, but to involve the entire family made it one of the most emotional episodes of the season.
Because Toya was present mentally and talking to his dad, because this one was ready to sacrifice himself and die with him for saving everyone AND for his son, to not let him die alone. Because I didn't expect Rei and her kids to intervene, but I was so glad they did and they directly addressed words to Toya, showing him he was seen, considered, everything he always wanted. Because I was so proud of Shoto who managed to stop him (thanks also to Iida). Because Endeavor finally told Toya he was sorry, to his entire family he was sorry… I was crying like HELL.

2024-11-06 09:53:00 +0000 UTCWhen I watched this episode for the first time, i was actually thinking "Laura has been telling you to apologize for seasons now, this will probably ruin her" while I was also crying hahaha That was such an emotional moment. Can't believe Dabi survived that. I loved how when Dabi told Endeavor that he hated him, Endeavor was just like, "okay. please tell me more" with the added subtext of "don't go. it's okay if you hate me, but please don't go" UGH such a gut punch. The last two episodes of the season were also really emotional, but I don't think they hit harder than this one just because we've been on the Todoroki family drama since day 1. I'm happy with how this fight concluded.
