STRIKER: I tried to follow her, to get her back... but a man with those means was always out of reach for me. Last I heard of her, she's got a kid with him.
P2: Glam looks authentically saddened by this story.
GLAM: How could she have hurt you like that?
P3: We pull back to see that Striker is on Glam's lap.
STRIKER: I was angry at her, at first. To have been so easily fooled. But the real blame was on him and his kind. Buying everything they have the slightest interest in, not caring about repercussions. So I took her example, and moved on.
P4: Glam caresses his face
GLAM: I would never do anything like that to someone I loved.

Its starting to sound line Stryker was pining for someone who was never really his tk begin with. Maybe they had something that was off/on again? Maybe she thought it was casual intimacy while he thought it was serious? Either way it appears Stryker has problems of his own making. Great writing to give the villains some motivation and back story while still keeping them villains in their methos and thinking.

2025-06-11 16:57:21 +0000 UTCI’m not getting the context here, either that or I’m dumb. He sounds like to me he’s pined after her but was never actually together with her? On the one hand that sucks, but it’s kind of creepy that he hates her for leaving him when they were never together. Either way I love this, just wanted to make sure I have the full context here before I get reinvested XD
