This episode felt slower but I appreciated it a lot because it was in fact responding to what I said in intro : this season is built to present students who have each one a different place in this universe, to confront them to the truth and how this society is functioning, and it needs to end with them choosing to go with or against it. For now, they are all against it, but this episode offered to some a different path.
Sam loves Emma but she wants for him to hide, to not use his power, when he can see out there students who scream their anger against people who want to control them. And they are naming Homelander… Marie is all against the system in place and she said the truth to Newman, but this one showed her they are the same, she was watching her for a long time etc. Andre's das was surely trapped, Cate had her revenge against Indira (did she, really ?), Jordan doesn't care anymore about their image…
