I keep my crown of Queen of Denial after this episode and I refuse that Bakugo is dead. BUT it's the first time that for once, my emotions are taking the side of my mind and not of my heart. Because I understood that Bakugo went for his final move knowing it could be the end for him. The fact that he thinks that he can't be enough in front of Shigaraki but went for it no matter what, but even more, the fact that he resolves the two main "issues" of the character : he thinks about Izuku, when his friend saved him, helped him, when he apologized to him ; and, finally, he faces All Might, and admits he admires him.
Bakugo went for it with the energy of someone who knows he's not enough but has to do it no matter what, has nothing to lose and is finally at peace with himself. For the writing part, killing him would be perfect. So my mind was like "he's really dead", and my emotions, my stomach, felt he was dead. Refusing to listen to my heart who was screaming that it couldn't be, that we need more and that, mostly, Bakugo deserves to be there at the end and see Deku winning. So my heart, my mind and my emotions made a compromise : yes, he died, but he's gonna be revived. No other way possible.

For me, it's totally that : it was during one of the movies that Bakugo had One For All during some moments so he was connected during some moments to all of the predecessors and maybe he can still have access to them, or at least All Might who knows him. And, you know, I always saw that "Bakugo had One For All" thing as when Sam had the Ring from Frodo during some times : Sam was marked by it for his entire life, he felt the pressure, the power of it, and also at the end of his life, he left because of it... For me, Bakugo realized things when he had One For All, maybe not in a conscient way, or just the responsibility going with it (so after that he understood better the pressure Deku always has on his shoulders) and was maybe also "marked" by it.

2024-10-09 13:45:16 +0000 UTCYeah. This episode was intense. There was also a frame or two where they were just flashing a heart on screen. That ending scene was bullshit. How dare they leave us with that image. I think I went through the same experience you did where I didn't want it to be true but it makes sense for it to happen at this moment. I don't know if it's just in anime or if it properly reflects Japanese culture, but something that really annoys me is when they don't finish their sentences. It bothers me so much. I have a theory though. Don't worry, no spoilers. If my theory is correct, it has not been proven yet in the episodes. I found it really weird that Bakugo's internal image of All Might is All Might's form within One for All. Then I was thinking what if they tie this into one of the earlier OVAs where Bakugo very briefly shared One for All with Deku? I don't know if they'll do something like that, but I need to know why his image of All Might was like that. O_O
