Hello !
Clearly, after the intensity of the last episode, I was expecting this one to be as interesting, if not better, and I was a little disappointed by it. I loved almost everything, to have news about everyone and all. BUT I thought we would spend more time with the dwarves and I "only" had the first scene to satisfy me with that : okay, it was amazing, the Balrog was impressive and Durin the King facing him alone after giving the Ring and the throne to his son, with this music, it was more than cool… but I wanted more.
When I clearly didn't need all of this time with Isildur : we needed to have news about him and everything which happened is teasing the reasons why he's going to Numenor alone and knowing already what happened, as well as what Theo and the others they're gonna deal with now. But they were long scenes and a lot of them, and in the middle of the episode, it felt like they were slowing things down. For the rest : the Stranger discovering his name and his staff after saving his friends ? Loved it, cried during it. Galadriel making a deal with Adar, this one being betrayed with his kids, the fight with Sauron ? Cool, but clearly Sauron was once again not intense enough when needed, and too "human" when not needed (Sauron crying ? The guy already lost all of his humanity, it feels so off).
