After that reveal in the previous episode, for sure I wanted to discover more about Cate. Because I understood she was manipulated by Shetty to use her powers on her friends, with the lie that it would help them, for the best. But I wanted to know more of her background. Clearly, it was rough to see her mom being afraid and mad at her when Caleb disappeared, and then to understand her parents blocked her inside of her room for nine entire years. For sure, she considered Shetty as her savior and did everything she asked.
But we saw that she had doubts about it during the last years, that she could have decided to stop earlier. That's why I agree with Marie on not forgiving her just like that and she's gonna need to prove she deserves their trust. It was also cool to see moments in the others' lives, guilty ones, to understand that Jordan knew about Brink using Luke, that Andre was not such a perfect friend for Luke either…
