My opinion about this movie is proof I will never lie to you about what I think of a show or a movie. I didn't like it AT ALL and I'm saying it. But I also explain to you that I have that impression that the story at the beginning of it was good and could have given a good movie. IF ONLY it wouldn't have been rewritten by a guy or a bunch of guys who were mas***bating themselves under the tables.
Because, clearly, the women are just here to be se**al objects for the main character. We saw the breast of Nora without any justification and she has no other role than to be the horny girl who only talks about se*, when she's clearly written (for the facts, the og story) as a caretaker, someone patient and nice. Not gonna talk about secondary women dressed/used only to show their bodies. Let's talk about the main character who fu**s someone he knew who is his daughter for a previous life and EVEN MORE the fact that the writers justifie it, make him the good guy about it. The same good guy who doesn't remember when he ra**d his wife in that other life, because, hey, it was not really a ra**, it was his wife, but okay maybe he shouldn't have said she was a bit**. And he's so nice that he doesn't want for her to ki** herself but that evil wife kills him again… poor him.
He was a fu**ing selfish bastard in the previous life and that's said, but he's also one in this life and it's hidden by the writers. Who really just wrote an entire movie with their own fantasms and they are justifying, protecting the main character who represents all of their bullsh**s. I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

Disturbing, yes, clearly, but I think it would give too much credit to the writers to say they did it for going into the psychological horror. The writer of the novel did it like that, yes, but the writers who rewrote it for the movie made it just something you can't "eat" without vomiting after and not because you're afraid, just because it's inedible.

There's no need to be concerned, I'm sure the screenwriter can't find you 😊 I remember the title of this movie but nothing else. I also saw the television version. And as a kid I was freaked out by the depiction of reincarnation, the freaky nature was all I remembered, like I couldn't sleep. This is an interesting and also twisted movie. It's psychological horror... and they delve into things that are taboo. They don't do creature effects, no blood splatter, no spilled guts and no jump scares but what they do is maybe torture you psychologically in their own twisted way. For me the music gives it away as horror or that was the intention decades ago, the effectiveness may vary, especially today lol. I typed, was this really a best selling novel?, and it says yes.
