I was really shocked by the reveal of who erased their memories. I guessed at the end of the last episode that their blackouts were not natural and someone did it, and I also said I couldn't believe Rufus would be involved because of his useless position in the story. But I would have never imagined it would be Cate because of all of the first half of the season that we spent with her and she was discovering everything with our guys, helping as much as everyone.
At least it was giving this impression, but I can now revisit some things in another way. I hate that she did it, but I totally understand she's motivated by good intentions, she wants to protect her friends. Like she surely ended by doing what Luke asked her, to erase his pain of losing a brother. For sure, all of that created weird situations, for example with Marie and Jordan.

Cate being that person was a big shock, yes. And for the love relationships, they don't feel forced but they feel like too much, we have really not one single character not involved in one. But I think that they're gonna give more main characters with time, with season 2, so it can change.

Normally, I don't like shows that have teenager romance problems because it feels so forced into the story, but I feel like they wrote it well into this narrative.
