Yes, they got me. I felt so betrayed when we discovered the identity of the traitor, that it was one of our guys, and I was still okay to give him a second chance, to trust him again. So here, to face Aoyama and have him betraying us again, with the Master appearing just like that behind me… Yes, they got me, I believed it. I had a one microsecond being like "noooo, you can't, you're not like that" but it was erased instantly by just anger and disappointment. So after that I was just glad and relieved to see Aoyama was playing, for us, that he is with us, for real.
The discussion between Ochaco and Deku was such a sweet moment, and I love the fact that they are truly the same, even for facing an enemy and seeing the person as someone who needs to be saved. The introduction with Toga coming back at her parents' house proved they are right once again : her parents never supported her, reassured her about her quirk and on the contrary, they judged their daughter dangerous because of it. And, okay I blame them a lot, but I mostly blame the society here which pushed them to consider things like that. Everything could have been so different.

I agree with you about that little scene, and I can add that it shows also how much Shoto opened himself to his friends when we began in S1 with someone who was so closed/blocked. Now he's talking about his family issues, his hopes for the future, it's big, it's deep.

2024-09-17 07:49:32 +0000 UTCThey got me good too hahaha that scene was just so believable A really small scene but was still a really nice one to have was when Bakugo, Krishima, and Iida checked up on Shoto. It just communicates how they must've deepened their relationships off screen; that while Deku is the main character, not everything revolves around him. I think that's one of the things I really appreciate in this anime; everyone gets a moment. Most animes do that, but because there are so many characters in this one, it's pretty impressive that each of them gets a moment.
