Hello !
I knew Star And Stripe for two episodes and they managed to make me cry for her. Maybe because they wrote a few simple scenes with her and the other soldiers, to show they were not just a team, but a real family, that they were supporting her and that she was taking care of them. Maybe because I was truly impressed by her quirk and also how clever she was, that in a few seconds she understood she couldn't win but she couldn't let Shigaraki have her quirk so she knew what she had to do.
Maybe just because I have a thing for people who are sacrificing themselves to save people they love. Maybe I loved that her friends immediately understood what Cassie did, they felt proud of her and they stayed to fight to honor her sacrifice. Maybe I see the moment as a good way to also honor her story : she became a hero because she was saved by All Might, she intervened here to help All Might and she found a way to hurt Shigaraki, to give our guys more time to prepare themselves against him… It was emotional, what can I tell you.
