When I have to come back to some moments of the episode to be sure that I understood/saw things right, clearly you know what it means, guys : something bad happened and I'm so much into a big denial that I need to rewatch things to be sure that I didn't imagine it. Here, okay, I'm pretty sure that Aizawa just lost his quirk, but I still fight the idea that Gran Torino is dead. We saw so many of them being so badly hurt, that just one punch can't be enough to kill him.
But at the same time, I have that rule, I made it myself : the mentor has to die/disappear at some point for the hero to shine on their own. And Gran Torino is All Might and Deku's mentor. I hate my own rule, I refuse my own rule. Because I have another one : "body cold, eyes closed, if I don't see that, the person is not dead". Gran Torino is not dead.
