Hello !
The first part of this episode, discovering more about Himejima, was like a regular episode. I'm glad that we stayed with him because clearly, he was absent from his own training. His story is truly awful : not only a kid betrayed him and all of his friends, sacrificing them to save his own life, pointing at them and destroying their protection ; not only kids around him died little by little and he had to turn so violent to protect the only one left ; but that only child said he was the murderer. The worst is that we can blame any of these kids, in fact, it's nobody's fault. So I'm glad that Himejima made peace with his past through Tanjiro.
The second part of this episode was a lot of different scenes, each interesting but each one feeling like we just began them, not really explored them. It's frustrating ! Even if I understand that the amount of episodes doesn't allow to take more time. But I'm truly afraid to see Zenitsu like that… silent, without any emotion, focused. I would have wanted a real conversation with Sanemi. And to hear the one with Genya. And for sure, the end with Muzan is amazing but I had the impression the guy made the entry of a snail.

2024-06-26 06:08:05 +0000 UTCAlso, I forgot to comment on Inosuke. I'm not 100%, but I think when he said "tempura" he used that as his mantra or his "Repetitive Movement." In the same way Tanjiro used memories of his family and Rengoku to push himself further, Inosuke used his love of food. Which is really silly, but so on brand for him. hahaha

2024-06-25 09:32:01 +0000 UTCWhile I was 100% sure it was not going to happen, because of all the focus on his shoes, I was expecting Muzan to moon walk at some point. Come on, he was even wearing a white suit. hahahaha I find it weird that no one's pointing out that Tanjiro's scar is now just permanently that fire mark instead. Three Hashiras have seen him and said nothing. His friends have seen him and said nothing. Is nobody wondering why his mark is permanent? I certainly am. Another theory for me on the mark: before I mentioned that it might eventually turn you into a demon, but now I'm thinking maybe it just drastically shortens your lifespan. That will give another reason on why Upper One would have turned to Muzan instead. I'm also thinking that the note Zenitsu got was news about his grandpa. I can only assume the news is bad for him to react that way. Is it weird that I'm hoping his grandpa is dead instead of dying? I just feel like being really sick or on his deathbed should not have elicited that type of reaction from Zenitsu. He felt resigned, not worried or upset. So my money's on the grandpa being dead. You know, the scene with Genya confuses me. They still have not made it clear what happened to him during the Swordsmith Village Arc. I was working under the assumption that he had an innate ability to turn into what he ate (kinda like Suneater from My Hero Academia). But they have not explained why he has this ability. I get that they're worried that he ate a demon, but during those episodes, it looked like he knew exactly what he was doing, and no one is questioning why he has this ability. I was expecting it to be better explained this season, but since there's only one episode left, I'm probably still not going to get that explanation. >:( The episode was good overall, but yeah, I feel you when you said that they keep teasing without actually giving us answers. :/
