The end of this episode can only be defined by the word "frustration" because we could have the impression nothing truly happened during it and it was only discussions, cut at the most important moment. But at the same time, I think it was important to have these moments before. Gardar arrested, it was logical and certain, and I was (and still is a little) afraid for Arnheid to get arrested and punished also. To discover her life was truly sad, that they took her son away from her, that she loves him still now but she would be ok to let him get killed thinking about the baby she's gonna have soon.
And everything about this episode was about not intervening, letting things happen because it would be the worst to do something about it. Like Thorfinn who convinced Einard to not intervene, like Arnheid who wanted to let things happen… And when Sverkel talks about the young woman he gave to an enemy, choosing to not intervene, he always says how much he regrets it, that it left him with scars. So here, I wouldn't blame Arnheid for whatever decision she's gonna take.
