I totally misread the situation at the end of the previous episode : Canute didn't want to hire Olmar, so after that use him to threaten Ketil or anything like that. No, they truly sent these stupid soldiers because for sure they would mock Olmar, push him to react, and help him to kill one of them so they would demand reparation to Ketil by requisitioning his land. They didn't count on Thorgil to kill all of the rest, to guess what was happening and to react to the consequences.
It was a surprise for me to see Thorgil acting like that because it means he's not just the butcher who enjoys fighting and killing, he's also proud of his land and he would do everything he can to protect it and his family. Everyone comes back home on Leif's ship with that promise of "giving" Thorfinn to Leif… I can not wait.

I said it at some point in a review : I have the impression that Canute is feeling now like how Thorfinn was feeling before. And when one is doing everything he can to make his dad proud, the other always said he hated his father and at the end he's acting exactly the same.
