Discovering this final episode and all of these reveals around Rachel's story was really interesting, something totally new and exclusive. We can understand that she absolutely wants to meet her mother but we can also see the reasons why his dad acted like that. Even if we can disagree and also notice that he lied about Sera still taking drugs and his checks.

I took that decision at the end because for me, it was the one that the game is guiding us to take. Like for the original show when we first decided to let the dad getting killed because we know it's better for everyone at the end, so I decided to let Chloe get killed. Here, we have that entire discussion with Rachel about stars who are dead but it's not sad, we just know they are still around for us, and that other discussion with the dad about the fact that it's better to not know if someone who disappeared had secrets because we can keep a sweet image of them. And we made the promise to Rachel's dad and moms that we would try everything to protect her. So to "protect Rachel from the truth" seemed the right choice. But not giving me any epilogue felt like a punishment after that… It was nice to discover the other ends after that.
