Hello !
I feel so sad for this little boy : 5 years old, he thought he had no quirk, and the first time it's appearing, he's killing his dog with it (while he was already crying, being sad as hell about his life). Then, he's not killing his sister, mother and grandparents on purpose : as a normal kid, he tried to stop his sister because he didn't want to be punished again, and after that, realizing what he did in front of the rest of his family, he just panicked and also killed them. The only one he killed willingly was clearly his dad.
But Shigaraki unlocked this memory just now, so he didn't have the time to think about it, to work on it. He's still seeing all of that with kids' eyes. He can't realize now his sister was not malicious but just a normal kid, the rest of his family was not intervening enough against the dad but they tried their best to be here for him, to reassure him, to support him. And yes, his dad was wrong with these rules, he treated his son really badly ; but as an adult, he could realize he did it because his dad's mother abandoned him, that's why he felt like that about heroes etc.
