Hello !
I'm still not sure about the chronology at the end of this episode and how old are the characters. Clearly we had a time jump between seasons 1 and 2, but I thought that the last episode with Canute was to show what happened for him during that time. And then, during this episode, again we had time passing, a lot, because now we have an adult Thorfinn, with a beard and all.
Thofinn might have grown, finally, he's saying himself that he learnt a lot during that day (and not just about farming). Through this old man who helped him and Einar in exchange for them working around his house. An old man who is in fact Ketil's dad (and not Snake's grandpa !) and who taught him something important : you don't need to be that wealthy, to have such a big land that you can't use/defend it yourself.
