Hello !

During a big part of this episode, I thought that Nan lost her mind and that's the theory the writers were encouraging viewers to believe. They insisted on the fact she was not sleeping at all, we could hear her talking to herself and being so desperate and afraid, she was doing crazy stuff at the end… For sure, the mental issues seemed like a good response.

But I also appreciate the solution : during all of this time, she was stuck in limbo, she was not accepting her death and the hitch-hiker just wanted to open her eyes, pushing her into other accidents. And some other moments of the episode were really nice, like the parallel between the hitch-hiker badly looking that Nan doesn't want to help in the middle of the day when she's following someone, and the marine guy she's begging to help in the middle of the night when she's all by herself.
