Hello !

I thought we would take one episode at least for the journey to the King's camp, so I was clearly not expecting all of what happened here. Opening scene is Floki facing Canute and all of his army, arriving at the camp, and we already have this weird moment with Thorfinn facing Floki. The lack of reaction clearly confirms Askeladd never told him about Floki ordering the death of Thors. Then, we have Canute facing the Kind, his dad, and we are finally discovering his face and his way to be.

I still consider him as old and weak, even sick (I don't know why I have this vibe) but he's clearly smart. He knows Canute might try something against him, so he chose to attack first as a defense, with this ambush. For Canute, his dad would have never really killed them, because he misses reasons for that. I'm not sure, and clearly Askeladd didn't want to take that risk and manage to convince him with political reasons and by keeping his calm when the King tried to make him mad (to have a good reason to kill them ?).
