This new TWD show is really cool, but the mistakes made around its promotion are beginning to annoy me. Even more because this new episode is really well done : it's really about showing to Michonne that Rick has no intentions of escaping with her. He wants her safe and out but he won't leave. Why ? Michonne doesn't have the answer but I'm pretty sure Rick himself doesn't know for sure : Jadis threatened to go after his family if he would, but we also saw Rick giving up on his old life, being brainwashed and all.
We knew with the first episode that Rick changed, he's not the Rick we knew and loved from TWD. The brave, clever and strong leader we had is someone who gave up, who doesn't want to fight anymore and who forgot : our guys, this family, we're not letting anyone behind and if we need to defend ourselves against new enemies, let's go for it. And Michonne realized it here and decided to act : "Rick, we're gonna go back home, whether you want it or not."
