For sure it was cool to spend time with the Kyoshi Warriors : we all wanted to meet Suki, to discover how well the warriors would be with their makeup, costumes and skills at fighting. They also took time to show moments between Zuko and Iroh, to begin to build their relationship, to make them more complex as a kid who is not the main villain and an uncle who might want to guide him in life, in the right direction. Katara learns more about her bending, facing Zuko for the first time⦠Everything was so cool. Little detail to improve : the spirit world, with Kyoshi, is too blurry.
Sokka and Suki together, I think that all fans of the show are fans of their relationship. For it to evolve that much and that far, it can be surprising but we have only one episode for her (for now), so it seems fair and it showed the girl's strength so I'm all for it. Even more because I know how shows are functioning and the fact we need one love relationship in the first season, and I prefer for the writers to insist on that one which is canon and existed in the first season, than to rush another one or worse create a new one.

Suki was both beautiful and impressive. Liked also Zuko's actor, and even more the real connection with Iroh's actor, meaning that these two are gonna be amazing to represent on screen this wonderful relationship.

2024-02-27 09:53:00 +0000 UTCMan, Suki was amazing. I think this was my favorite episode in the season and that was largely because of Suki. I really like this version of Zuko because I feel like the actor was able to better show that Zuko was an angsty teenager. I don't know if that makes sense, but I really appreciate the actor's efforts to really portray Zuko as a teenager. I think one of my favorite things about this season that really strengthened it as a whole, was them using the original music from the show. Or just playing background music that was very similar. Even if it's obvious to me what they've changed in the scenes or the story, because it's accompanied by the familiar music, it makes me feel the same vibes and just heightens my emotions in each episode.
