"It was just the first episode and I'm ALREADY CRYING THAT MUCH ?!" Clearly, I was not prepared enough. And I can't even blame the writers for that because, I knew it would be cool to be back in this universe, but I didn't think that watching my characters reliving some moments would make this emotional. But they truly had me with the ending scene with Gyatso : it's a nice and moving touch, and it also explains their chronological way of presenting stuff with that introduction scene.
It's also a good way to introduce the story to the new viewers and explain to new like old viewers that the mood is gonna be darker : this is a war, and we're gonna see people fighting and dying. I appreciate that approach and for me, all this first episode was also a good introduction to the characters and their future relationships. I had all of the scenes I wanted and none of the lines bothered me. And, you know me, I cried at least three times, I already made fingers at my screen⦠Clearly, I'm involved in the story and it works on me.

First, I love my shirt too π I wear it each time with pride, knowing I made it and it represents my love for Iroh, but one time, someone on a store began to talk about the show with me and really I just blushed a lot and when he talked about the scene, I was like "hummm π₯Ί". Second, I talked about it also : the writers, with the opening scene, showed the mood they decided to print here "if we have a real show, we'll make things realistic. a war is a war, people fight, people die."

2024-02-27 08:12:38 +0000 UTCI loved so many things about this episode. First of all, I love your shirt. But I don't want to think about it too much because it will make me cry. T_T Second, I love the intro. They showed from the very beginning how good the bending will be. I was so happy it was executed so well. Apart from that though, I love that they were making new scenes that were not part of the original. The whole spy thing as well as everything that happened in the Southern Air Temple were so good. I'm really happy that they didn't do an exact copy of the original. I think that the changes they made were okay and made sense within the story they wanted to say. I actually binged watched the whole thing in one sitting when it came out in my area. hahaha Looking forward to going through it again with your reactions.
