This hidden scene was interesting because, for me, it means that the next season (or maybe the movie before that ?) is gonna explore the connection between All for One and One for All, and because of that the link between those who had/have them. This entire episode was a response to the previous one : Endeavor is the number one of the chart but no one truly appreciates him, so he made that promise "watch me" like he told them he would prove he deserves it with actions. By fighting this Nomu, not giving up even if he was that hurt, he proved how great he is.
He also kept his promise to Todoroki, to make things to make him proud. It's difficult for Todoroki and his siblings who hate their dad for what he did to them, to this family, but for sure they supported him because he's a great hero against a big villain, but also because maybe they keep that hope of him being a better dad at some point. The opening scene with the mother was a true surprise… I'm gonna need more to reexamine Endeavor's case. More time, more promises and some apologies.

Oh, I can imagine yes, that discovering that scene with this translation as a "monster" might hit harder the viewer. And you saw it, even if I dislike totally the person, I admire the hero and I didn't want him to die, I was shocked they supposed it could happen. They definitely created here one of the main narrative arcs of the future season I think, the Endeavor's redemption arc.

One of the reasons I really like this episode is because I think it did a good job of really communicating how much Endeavor wants to change; how much he recognized that what he did was wrong. The translation I had for this episode hit me harder because when he killed the nomu, he didn't call it a "bioengineered human," he called it a *monster.* So for me, that translation was more impactful because he saw just what an asshole he's been in his struggle to be the strongest that he felt like he was as bad as this literal monster. And him killing the nomu was a good symbolism of how he was going to try and walk a different path moving forward. So I really liked that. The "oh my god" moment of him getting knocked down was so good. Because for sure he wasn't going to die, but there was always that little voice of "but what if he's actually dead?" in the back of my head that made him rising up and continuing to fight such a good watching experience. And I don't know why, but the background music for this episode for me was just really good. It really helped heightened my emotions when it mattered. I agree completely that Endeavor is such a piece of shit person, but a really good and strong hero. And I agree that this definitely isn't enough to change peoples' opinions about him being an asshole, but you're definitely right in thinking that this the start of that. The next season is such a banger. Can't wait for you to see them. :)
