Before this episode, I told you I was afraid for Omar : him threatening Michael during the last episode, I should have been beyond scared, I was waiting for this scene since seasons, but in fact I found that Omar looked desperate and weak, alone and hurt. Omar was a pain for Marlo's business but he had no ressources, he knew it, he was not trying to use the drugs he was stealing, he was not paying attention to details like before… Like he was waiting for the fight against Marlo, to kill or get killed.

The fact that it's a young corner boy doing it… it's awful, it shocked me, but I also understand why it's nice for the story, to show that anyone with a gun can be a danger, that Omar should have been more careful etc. His death felt logical for how the show is written, but it didn't feel right for his character. Even if I understand the reasons, and I even get that Omar himself would agree with it. To know I'll just have two episodes to suffer without him was almost a nice thought.

I love Kima and Beadie even more after this episode, my two girls can't accept what McNulty is doing. They know what is right and it's not okay for them, they are better than that. I'm also really proud of the editor, who is standing up for his job, for the values he has and he puts on it, what a good journalist and a good newspaper should be.
