This episode was written to make me mad, right ? I have the impression I didn't spend one scene without rolling my eyes, screaming at one character, being so mad and disappointed at what everyone was doing. All of these lies, all of this bullshit, it's making me so mad… McNulty who has his fake case, a fake serial killer, now a fake bitter, talking with it with the bad journalist who invents a testimony and then who creates a fake call coming from that fake serial killer, and McNulty adds another fake call, for having a fake wire on him…

McNulty is making me mad also because we had the confirmation here that his lies and his attitude are making other people miserable : Kima who was working on a real case and had to stop it, Bunk who is covering the lies of his friends, Beadie who loves him and doesn't want to give up on him even if he hurts him so much etc. Do I need to talk about the tears I had for Bubbs, the break I took because of that particular scene ? I was so relieved, I thought the writers would make this test positive to show that aspect of the drug business also, denounce that. But it's more interesting to do it like that for the character : now Bubbs, you know you're gonna have a life, a future, so what are you gonna do with it ?
