DRAWING WEEK 1 - THE WIRE

We ended the year with Bunk, so I thought it would be nice to begin it with McNulty, to form the iconic duo of The Wire. Even if I began the season 5, the final season, and I'm really disappointed with him. I had the impression he evolved so much during the season 4 : he was not drinking anymore, he was enjoying having a peaceful life and a regular job, he had his girl and all of that was enough for him. When he said he would come back in the team, I believed in his promise that he would stay like that.
Because I thought he really changed, that he did it because he wanted to. And in fact no, just, he was not tempted. And being back with our guys, being a little desperate about their case not progressing, he went back with his old bad habits. And I hate to see him like that. And for me, in fact, he's now at the worst state I never saw him in (and yes, I remember the period where he was not that interested to live) because, even in the dark times, he valued his job, he loved it. What he did during the beginning of this season, shows that he doesn't even have that anymore. I hope he's gonna find peace again during this final season.
