Hello !

I had an entire theory about having the revenge on Rick Prime at the middle of the season, to prove that it was not the main thing for the show and for Rick, that everything was about his dead wife, mourning her, saying goodbye to her, and that we needed to have something about that in episode 10. I HAD RICK SAYING GOODBYE TO HIS DEAD WIFE. And okay, we discovered after that it was not real, but we had Rick running to the Hole, stopping, finally not going and it's even better. It's the writers saying that it needs to happen, but not for now, Rick is not ready. He knew he could have seen her, being confronted to his fear, to her, but he knows he's not ready.

At the end, Morty lived this entire episode on his own : he noticed all of his fears and fighted all of them. Morty was really brave here, I'm amazed by it, he did something that most humans can't do. All of the discussion about happiness was also really deep : it can't last forever, so in fact does it truly exist ? And why reach it if it's to lose it quickly ?

I'm still french, so I'm still sorry if my english hurts you.

I believe the same about everything having a beginning and an end. But here, in this episode, it's not like he would have visited Heaven or anything like that : he would have met an unreal dead wife, created by his memories of her, what he projects of her (like when he made experiences on Jerry and this one met his grandparents again and again), and he could have said goodbye to her like that. That's what I expect and want for him.

I know this might sound kind of sappy, but I firmly believe in physics: the idea that everything that has a beginning, has an end, even the universe itself. That's what makes it special. The pain you feel from a loss is equal to the love you felt for that person. That's what makes it matter. If everything and everyone we loved lasted forever...What would be the point? Once again...maybe too deep for a cartoon.
