Finally, the first page is done.

This was a really complicated page for me to color, so I got help instead. Celestial Alpacaron did the coloring for the background (you can find her on Twitter, @SuperCellAlpaca). She's the one who suggested the fireflies, which I never would've come up with on my own.

Lore-wise, you can see the Tree of Voices in the center. In this story, Earth transplanted several sprouts centuries ago and planted them in different nations around the world. They're still babies compared to the grown tree you see in the movie.

This is significant, not only for cultural reasons, but because there's a lot of unique properties in the tree that has affect everyday life. I don't know if I'll ever explain it in the comic, but it's because of these trees that pollution on Earth was mitigated and clean forms of energy were made viable globally.

There's also other unique perks that I know for sure the comic will explain, so I'll keep some details to myself for now.
