Dekku couldn't let Eri go with Overhaul, seeing someone in pain without intervening is not something our hero can do. Even if Togata was so clever and right to not intervene directly because they were not ready to fight someone as dangerous as him, I understand our boy's heart. Eri saved them all : Overhaul knew that by making that sign he was threatening enough for the girl to see it and decide to join him willingly, and they all guessed it.

But that's gonna haunt Dekku for a while, I think. This girl fought to escape from that awful group, she succeeded, managed to run into the arms of heroes… and it was not enough, they couldn't help her. For me, she's not related to him, he wants to use her quirk for his plan. I don't believe not even for one second that Shigaraki would truly accept to obey Overhaul. The guy clearly has a plan in mind… like Overhaul advised him to have.
