Mythic 6.0 Release Date Announcement

I was going to announce it after my quick trip to Combo Breaker, but realized I'd probably forget or be too exhausted to do it on time. So, instead of accidentally causing a further pushback on release date, I'm announcing it now.


Mythic 6.0 and all of its expansions will release June 28th.


That gives me 4 weeks to iron out as many kinks as possible before launching these games. 


So, why not just release it when it's ready?


I have a few reasons. First, I want to make sure that people truly understand that there is a deadline that I cannot go beyond on. That feedback needs to be given NOW and not later. There is soon to be a point of no return and if people did not get their feedback and fixes in on time, well at that point it's not on me. It's on them.

This has been a reoccurring issue since I began this system. It's happened with EVERY major release. I get people getting mad or upset with me over issues that were NEVER brought up. Some would try to vilify me or make me out to be incompetent over it. And on top of that, it adds to the amount of issues the game might launch with because nobody brought up the issues they had or saw with the game.


This also allows everyone to plan ahead. Whether you're starting a game or looking for a point in time to plan around moving to 6.0 Release. I want to make sure people know when these games will finally leave beta before it happens. I used to just release games the moment I felt they could be ready. But giving a deadline makes it more apparent that changes are still happening but a date is set. 


Now, with this release, there is a good chance that the Roll20 and Foundry sheets will not be fully ready. There are versions of both character sheets that fully take advantage of Mythic 6.0, but your compendiums might not be finished in time. Just a heads up, but work is being done. Compendiums are a LOT of work and a lot more programming than you might like to know. It's absolutely insane what they have to go through.


Currently, these are the following 6.0 books that will release alongside Mythic 6.0, and what each book technically is.

Splatbooks (NEW):

Splatbooks (Reworked or still compatible):



New splatbooks are splatbooks that are either new or have been completely rebuilt. SKULL is a splatbook for offering rule and system modifiers that change up how the game is played. There are 100 options and each are applied to a number on a D100 roll. The majority of the options are based on the various Skulls from Halo games.


Reworked and still compatible splatbooks only needed minor or no changes to work alongside Mythic 6.0. Because of this, these will still be offered with Mythic 6.0. It helps that these splatbooks are very simplistic and small.
