Added 2022-08-01 10:31:50 +0000 UTCI started creating for the Sims back in the Sims 2, and I've always done it because I really enjoy creating.
At first I didn't even think of it as a way to earn money to pay my bills, I just did it in my spare time. At the moment creating for the Sims has become my main source of income, although having another part time job which is not enough to pay the bills... unfortunately I'm like everyone else - I need money to live.
However, I don't I create custom content for Sims for money; I do it because I love doing it and will continue to do it regardless of EA's new rules. Of course, if it is confirmed that early access is not allowed and for that reason I lose your sponsorship, it will not be possible to continue dedicating so much time to what I love to do.
Right now I'm confused because the rules aren't very clear. As you know I have a website where I also publish my content; there I have advertising that can pay the expenses I have with my website and little else.... So to continue creating I need your support. Could it be that if I make my content available on my website for free but with advertising, and here on Patreon only for those who are patreon, is this breaking EA's rules? In that case is it not considered a donation? Also the content is available for free but on another site...so it's confusing, I know and I'm a little lost.
Nevertheless, i thought that who has supported and helped me so much, deserved a satisfaction from me about what I'm going to do from now on with this new scenario. Those who support only for early access, and if it's confirmed that this it's not allowed, I'll understand if you want to stop supporting me. On the other hand, those who will continue to support me despite this situation, I will be eternally grateful and will find ways with your help to compensate you (like testing my content, giving your opinion and suggesting changes, having access to the creation process etc...).
Please give your opinion on this matter in the comments. Also give feedback about what made you decide to support me and what can I offer so you continue to support me?

2022-08-02 13:57:46 +0000 UTCI supported in the past and rejoined now not because of the early access, but because I really love your content and you seem like a kind and genuine person and that makes me even more inclined to give support now that I can afford to. When I couldn't afford it - and for others who can't or don't want to be on patreon - it is freely available on your site as you said. I personally don't see why keeping this set up would be a problem, but if EA makes it clear that early access will no longer be allowed, I still plan on staying on as a patron either way as long as I financially am in a position to do so

There've been times when I've had to cancel my Patreon memberships, but I always try to come back to support the creators whose work brings so much joy to my game. Regardless of early access, this is something I have every intention of continuing.

Like the person above - I do prefer doing it on Patreon because it makes it easier for me to keep track, in one spot, of the various creators I support. :-) I'm so sorry for the creators with integrity who now have to pay for the selfish behavior of a few bad apples.

2022-08-01 15:46:55 +0000 UTCIf anyone is to blame for these harsher rules it's probably due to what happened a few months ago with the perma paywallers that 'tracks' and dox people. Can't blame them as the community got sick of them. Going forward I don't think it'll effect good content creators as a whole, especially if they put out decent content their followers like.

I really hope they allow early access cause I have no problems paying to keep any creators I enjoy to keep doing the work because I sure as crap cant....Anyways, THANK YOU for all of the content you have done for us so far and for continuing to do so.
