The "Emperor" walks in, sits down, chats for a bit, convinces people to join him, then slaps his opponent and humiliates them. The, eh, War-gunner 50,000 Emperor does this at least three times in the Horus Heresy books. Surprisingly character-accurate but much funnier here. ROFL in chapter 141.

Definitely more than capable of that, and while stopping them is a possibility too, doesn't necessarily mean it's the best option, right? Like, maybe making them just not terraform this Earth for Omnids or Prad use is not actually a fully bad idea, what with all the currently existent here Omnid and Prad ladies that clearly WANT TO STAY. Also, if those ones end up being the only Omnid /Prad permanently in residence in this Earth, they would reap immense benefits from the Astral tuning, and the magrad acting as fuel for their training if not for their skills themselves directly in the case of the Prads. The Omnids having Fractal Engine Hearts would benefit even more if allowed to remain after the greens did their terraforming voodoo. If all Ash did was redirect them to points to make the terraforming just barely ineffective enough for the Coniferous Conversion to NOT take root, it would still be a way to stop that, while also providing power to his lady friends and his friends' lady friends.

Seeing the results of the reputation and perception, Ash crafted for the image of the Emperor over time, come to fruition from the perspective of Comet, was fantastic. Like a well written villain, his mere appearance, shifting the mood without the need of an introduction. The dread and despair felt by those who oppose him, without him enacting threats, is really well done in this chapter. Ash has reached the point where the symbol of the Emperor is enough to shift the power in his favour and after declaring himself the Slayer, this shift might be greater than ever. Or everything goes south and he heads right towards catastrophe. I am excited to see where the story goes from here. Great chapter, i was super stoked when i noticed how long this chapter was. Also I hope Carrla gets her hands back ☹
