This will give it more of that lovely vintage look. Let me know if you need a photo. There will be some arm clipping in certain positions but resulting style will be worth it. OR keep it as is and Do a Vol 2 with the wide pretty flare.

I know my mom and her sister, who were toddlers at this time, had pics of them in outfits like this. https://i.gyazo.com/d91504acf6e3a27899941bc0ff861c26.jpg Or also knit cardigan sets with little pleated skirts and white gloves hats that matched for holidays. I can't find a picture quite like that but my uncle's had outfits like the ones in this ad. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/52/e2/20/52e220a27384f2686f25980e84ab6d42.jpg They always had the white socks and mary jane shoes, though!
